I got my WD 2TB drive about a month ago and was first surprised by it's size. Compared to my lesser-capacity Lacie drives it's small. Dead quiet, in fact I wondered if it was working at all. I just felt the drive and it generates no heat from the top, bottom or anywhere in between. My Lacie drives are warm to the touch. If there's anything I know about electronics it's that cooler is better. I could ask that the led indicator, the only thing that hint's this thing is on, be placed on the opposite side from the USB and power jacks. Then again, I have this drive out-of-site so it doesn't really matter. And lastly, while it's not made in the USA it's also not made in China. I think we already send China enough of our money. Buy it, you'll like it.

A very good product. It is very quiet so it is hard to see if it is working. It is not really 1TB, more like 930 mb +/-. For the price, it is a good value. My only complait so far is that the instructions are a bit cryptic and could be improved.
